You Can Always Count on Having Haters

It’s hilarious to me how many people have unfriended me on Facebook and disconnected from me on LinkedIn. You wouldn’t believe these long, nasty emails I’ve gotten from several people who really don’t like me and what I’m doing. It truly is impossible to please everybody. Do anything meaningful, do anything worthwhile, and haters will emerge out of the woodwork with the same level of certainty that you can count on death and taxes. The more you put yourself out there, the more people won’t like you for it. The world is filled with people who have nothing better to do with their time than tear down others.

I’m sharing this because I want you to know that if you are dealing with haters, you’re not alone. Keep pushing forward anyway. Keep putting yourself out there. The world needs your work. That haters can’t stop you. No one can stop you. You are a champion.
